“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
Sahih al-Bukhari · Hadith
The Mohamad Al-Amin Mosque stands at Martyrs' Square in downtown Beirut. Its blue dome and four minarets are part of the city's skyline. Inaugurated in 2008 with capacity for over 6,000 worshippers, the mosque hosts five daily prayers, weekly halaka circles, Quran recitation programs, and a Ramadan kitchen that prepares meals for families in need across Beirut.
Recurring weekly circles and classes — open to the community.
Schedule may shift during Ramadan and major holidays. Please confirm before traveling.
Throughout Ramadan, the mosque kitchen prepares hot iftar meals each day. Volunteer drivers and walkers deliver them to identified families across Beirut neighborhoods. Donations of food, time, and transport are coordinated through the board.
Volunteer or contribute foodThe mosque is run by a volunteer board of community members alongside its imam and program leads.
